Effective dosage: Dose depends on individual situation and it is prescribed by doctor. It is recommended that you take your dose of this medicine in the morning, with or after food. Side effects: General side effects are mostly present during the first 1-4 weeks while the body adapts to the drug. Most side effects will disappear or lessen with continued treatment.

3 Seropram

Effective dosage: Seropram recommended dose is 20 mg once daily, generally with an increase to a dose of 40 mg a day. Citalopram, by Lundbeck. Prescribed for: Citalopram is used for the management of depression. It also has been tested in persons with obsessive - compulsive disorders and panic disorders.

4 Prozac

Effective dosage: The recommended dosage range for Prozac is 20mg to 80mg, once a day. Side effects: Prozac is generally well tolerated. Most of the side effects will go away within a few weeks as treatment continues. Most common are nervousness, anxiety, trouble sleeping, nausea, vomiting and loss of appetite.

5 Dumirox

Effective dosage: The recommended starting dose is 50 mg once a day. The dose should be increased to 300 mg per day. It is advisable that a total daily dose of more than 100 mg should be given in two divided doses. Fluvoxamine maleate, by Solvay Pharma. Fluvoxamine is most often used to treat obsessive-compulsive disorder. This medicine may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
