Zolmitriptan, by AstraZeneca. Zomigon contains zolmitriptan, which is one of the more recent medications designed for acute treatment of migraine attacks with or without aura in adults. Family of medications, to which zolmitriptan belongs, are often referred to as ‘triptans’. Zolmitriptan is proved to be an effective and behaviorally specific anti-aggressive agent in situations that engender moderate and alcohol-heightened levels of aggression.

2 Relpax

Effective dosage: Relpax is effective at single 20-40 mg dose per session. Side effects: Overall, Relpax is well-tolerated. As with any medicine, Relpax may cause some side effects. These side effects are generally mild to moderate and transient and disappear quickly. Eletripan, by Pfizer. Relpax provides relief from moderate and severe migraine pain and symptoms, such as nausea and sensitivity to light and sound.

3 Premig

Effective dosage: The recommended dosage for Premig is 3 sachets a day. Acetylsalicylate lysine + metoclopramide, by Sanofi-Synthelabo. Premig is used to relieve migraine, headache, nausea, vomiting; heartburn, stomach pain bloating; and a persistent feeling of fullness after meals. It can also be prescribed for other uses; ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information.

4 Maxalt

Effective dosage: The usual dose of Maxalt is one 5- or 10-milligram tablet. Doses should be spaced at least 2 hours apart. Take no more than 30 milligrams a day. Side effects: Maxalt is generally well tolerated. Side effects are usually mild, temporary and dose related. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.
